5.1.1 Google Chrome
- Locate and open Google Chrome. If Chrome does not open to the Google search page then, in the address bar, type https://www.google.com. On the top right side of the search page, click on Images, then search for Camosun College. Bookmark the page and close Google Chrome. (If you are using a computer that does not have Chrome installed, use a different web browser. You will still be able to use the Google search page.)
- Demonstrate to your instructor/instructional assistant that you can open Google Chrome (or the web brower that you used in Step 1) and return to the bookmarked page above, using the bookmark.
- Save one of the Camosun College images in your Comp 040 folder, if you have one. If you do not have a folder, ask your instructor/instructional assistant for help.
5.2.1 Send an email with an attachment
In this assignment, you will send an email with an attachment to your instructor/instructional assistant. The attachment is the Camosun College image that you downloaded and saved in assignment 5.1.1. Make sure to use good e-mail etiquette, with a subject line and brief message explaining what the e-mail is about; include a sentence or two explaining why you chose that particular image.

- You can send the email from your personal email account (e.g. hotmail.com, gmail.com, etc.). Your course outline should have your instructor’s email address.- Or –

Ask one of your classmates (or you can ask your instructor/instructional assistant if you prefer) to send you an email with an attachment. The attachment must be either a jpeg file or a pdf file (file extensions .jpg, .jpeg or .pdf).

5.3.1 Evaluate a website
Pick a topic of interest to you and search the web for information about it. Pick one of the results that you find (that is, one of the websites) and use the CRAAP test to evaluate the site. You can download the information about CRAAP here. Make sure to include the address of the website in your assignment, and write one or two sentences about each aspect of the evaluation.
Save your work in your Comp 040 folder (if you have one) and ask your instructor/instructional assistant about how they would like you to submit it.
