In Comp 030, you learned about hardware (the parts of a computer that you can see and touch) and software (the code stored on your computer that makes the hardware useful). You learned about the names of different parts of the computer, the differences between desktop and laptop computers and about attaching devices to your computer using different ports, like a USB port.
Here are some new videos that give you another look at what a computer is and does and how hardware and software work together. These video links take you to the Khan Academy website. Just watch each video then return to this page for further instructions.

You may have noticed that we’ve skipped two videos, about Binary Data and Circuits and Logic. They go into more detail than is required in this course, but you should feel free to watch them if you are interested.
When you have finished this page, you can complete Assignment 2.4.1 on the Module 2 Assignments page.
