Ever heard someone say ājust google itā, āsave it on your driveā or ālaunch the appā and wondered what exactly they meant?
The world of computers is full of such terminology that we do not learn in any English class but with time, as the computer has become a household item, these terms are used commonly around us. In this short lesson, you will be introduced to some commonly used terms and acronyms. (An acronym is a word formed from the initial letters of a longer phrase, like GUI for Graphical User Interface. GUI is pronounced “goo-ey”.)
The following links will take you to some good resources where you can learn or review computer terminology and acronyms. Do not click on any tutorial links embedded in these pages.
